beans on toast exhibition

The event was a display of the experimental and creative work of local artists BOT, DKD Girl, anomali, Human, Gate 33, JK Lewis and Formula Ghost. Artwork exhibited at the venue amongst experimental soundscapes. BOT was an unmissable opportunity to see his latest lightboxes, the first ones seen at Dynamix in 03/01, in conjunction with Streets Ahead and Pelicanneck Records at the Zion Centre. His sound performance electro breaks with cut up sampling and heavy weight scratching. Formula Ghost from Celebrate Psi Phenomenon played electro-acoustic music described using tape degradation, mangled collisions with short interventions, numerous cuts and splices.. very dense and dynamic web of sounds.. DKD Girl brought experimental computer electronics and Gate 33 performed glitchy electronica with ambi-ethno intrusions and mixed media abstract painting by Ace-Of-Cups. Human and JK Lewis played old skool and scratching with radio interference, anomali, collaborator with Merzbow, and the former New Blockaders (r.i.p.) performed an awesome noise collage set, to finish the night.
